Legacy Ale Works @ Hogtown Craft Beer Festival

If you were in Gainesville for beer week, you probably attended the Hogtown Craft Beer Festival on April 22nd. With over 1,700 guests in attendance and over 113 breweries featuring over 368 beers, it was easy to get lost in all things craft beer! We had the awesome opportunity of participating this year, among 8 other Jacksonville breweries including Aardwolf, Engine 15, Wicked Barley, Harris Meadery and more. We were the only brewery in planning that attended this year's event representing the Jacksonville and St. Augustine areas.

The event was a huge success and we were happy to be serving two of our flagship beers (Red Run Red Ale and Hive Five Honey Pale Ale) to the many area beer lovers. We even had the chance to chat with various industry members including other brewery owners, blog writers Jax Brew Bitch and The Brew Nymph. And if you missed our mention in Linda Johnson's recap of the festival, here's an excerpt:

The Honey Pale Ale was a refreshing take on the pale ale, with the addition of the honey for some extra body and a hint of sweetness. The Red IPA took on hoppy citrus notes along with the caramel of a red.

And because we never take ourselves too seriously, if you ordered our Hive Five Honey Pale Ale, you were also greeted with a Hi Five - something many of our visitors enjoyed - clearly we all had a great time!

We are looking forward to our next event and in the meantime, we are moving forward with our plans to open, hopefully in the early part of 2018! For now, enjoy our pics from the event and to check out the full Hogtown Craft Beer Fest Gallery, click here!
